ABOUT LIBERTANGO
“Driven by my fascination and enduring love for Tango Nuevo, I've been inspired to create this album dedicated to the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. The indisputable power of his music invokes a beautiful and complex atmosphere, and the emotions that his compositions elicit are unparalleled and unique to the music world.
This tribute album features the renowned 'Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas', impressively arranged by Desyatnikov. To further personalize this collection, I have arranged three pieces specifically for solo violin and string orchestra, a direct reflection of my journey through Piazzolla’s music.
Integral to this album has been the 'Hilaris Chamber Orchestra'. Their energy has been extraordinary, adding the perfect intensity and dynamism necessary for channeling Astor Piazzolla's essence into our performance. Their contribution has been an invaluable partnership in manifesting this unique musical experience.
Collaborating with the exceptional sound engineer, Johannes Winkler, has been a particularly rewarding aspect of this project. His meticulous approach coupled with his enthusiasm for sound quality has greatly enhanced not only the recording process, but also the post-production stage. His expertise added to a truly magnificent overall result.
